Esomealert 40 – Esomeprazole 40mg tablet, is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It works by blocking the proton pumps in the stomach lining, helping relieve acid-related conditions and promote healing of ulcers.

Esomealert 40 – Esomeprazole 40mg tablet is commonly used in the treatment of following indications,

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Acid reflux and heartburn
• Peptic ulcers (gastric and duodenal ulcers)
• Zollinger–Ellison syndrome
• Prevention of NSAID-induced ulcers
• Part of combination therapy for Helicobacter pylori infection

• Flatulence (gas)

Serious Side Effects :

• Severe allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty)
• Low magnesium levels (muscle cramps, irregular heartbeat)
• Vitamin B12 deficiency (with long-term use)
• Kidney problems (interstitial nephritis)
• Severe diarrhea (possible infection)
• Bone fractures with prolonged use

Dosage:

The recommended dosage of Esomealert 40 – Esomeprazole 40mg tablet is,  

• Usual dose: 40 mg once daily
• Take before meals (preferably before breakfast)
• Duration: typically 2–8 weeks, depending on the condition
